Stern Still King In Syracuse!

Howard Stern's talk show is back as No. 1 in the mornings in Syracuse,
although country station WBBS-FM (B104.7) remains the overall favorite.

News/talk WSYR-AM (570) came in second with a 8.9 share. Album rock
WAQX-FM (95X) finished 3rd with a 7.5 share, buoyed by Stern's return to
No. 1 after he fell to second place in the fall ratings behind WSYR's Joe
Galuski.

95X owner James Leven says the continued strong ratings for Stern prove
that lots of Central New Yorkers want to hear his show, despite some
criticism across the country over its sexual content.

Leven adds that there's never been truth to speculation that 95X plans to
dump Stern before the station begins carrying Syracuse University sports
broadcasts this fall.

"It is with absolute certainty that Howard will remain (on 95X)," Leven
says. "It's obvious that Syracuse once again is giving a ringing
endorsement to Howard Stern."

WBBS was also No. 1 with listeners 25-54. It had a 12.2 share, followed by
WYYY-FM (Y94) with a 10.3 and WAQX (95X) with a 9.6.

WAQX finished first with a 14.6 share with listeners 18-34. In second
place was WBBS with an 11.4.
